Privacy policy
Friday Night Skate Amsterdam is a volunteer-run event. We collect as little data as possible. Here is what we keep, why, and how long.
Cookies
The site only uses functional cookies:
- Session: keeps you logged in to the crew portal.
- CSRF token: protects forms against abuse.
- Language preference: remembers your NL/EN choice.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run external analytics.
Push notifications
Push notifications only work if you explicitly opt in at /subscribe. On opt-in we store your browser's push endpoint and Web Push encryption keys (no personal identifiers). You can unsubscribe on the same page or in your browser settings.
Location data (crew)
Crew members can share their location during a skate via the crew dashboard. That data:
- is sent every 30 seconds while sharing is active;
- only appears on the public map as a group centroid - unless you have explicitly opted in to show your individual position;
- is automatically deleted 24 hours after the event ends (raw pings).
Crew account
For the crew portal we store your name, email, an optional phone number, and your display name. An admin can delete your account on request.
Photos
Photos on the site were taken by volunteers (Ronald Schoots, Joep Henselmans, Lex van Buuren and others). Want a photo of you removed? Reach us via the contact page.
Access or deletion
For access, correction or deletion of your data, email fridaynightskate@hotmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
